Who we are
Building the Walls NPO is a registered non-profit organisation governed by a board of seven dedicated members who convene regularly to ensure effective oversight and strategic direction
The organisation is committed to promoting sustainable livelihoods and providing essential support to vulnerable populations, including persons living with HIV/AIDS and TB, individuals with disabilities, unemployed families and youth, neglected young women, street-connected children, the homeless, individuals affected by substance abuse, and the frail and elderly.
Founded in 2003 and formally registered in 2006, the organisation has grown significantly—from initially serving 20 beneficiaries to currently supporting over 3,900 individuals each month.
We maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements by submitting annual reports to the Department of Social Development. Our financial records are independently audited by a qualified accounting firm, ensuring transparency and accountability.
With over two decades of service, Building the Walls NPO is a well-established organisation, supported by the community and local authorities. We operate from the New Horizons Sports Facility, owned by Bitou Municipality, and maintain strong, stable partnerships with our stakeholders.
